workshops are held across the country in Jazz, Tap and Ballet.
These workshops give ADAPT students an opportunity to experience dance classes
taught by professional dance masters. ADAPT workshops promote the "family
atmosphere" that ADAPT has always stood for amongst students across the country. ADAPT
is an acronym for "Associated Dance Arts for Professional
Teachers."
ADAPT is
a certified dance syllabus and is taught by over one hundred Canadian dance
studios from coast to coast. ADAPT represents an elite group of dance teachers
who follow the ADAPT Syllabus. ADAPT dance teachers are leaders in quality dance
training. They teach the love of dance and movement not only to the elite
student, but to the recreational dancer as well.

Dance
Manitoba & The Manitoba Provincial Dance Festival
Dance Manitoba provides
workshops in all types of dance forms, with access to nationally and
internationally recognised dance professionals. Dance Manitoba believes that
workshops are an excellent means for a dancer to expose themselves to different
approaches and styles. Whether taking a class in a discipline that is part of
the dancer’s regular course of study or experiencing a new dance form for the
first time, this added knowledge will be reflected in that dancer’s own
technical and expressive abilities.
Manitoba
Provincial Dance Festival is a two-week long event held in Winnipeg in May.
Dancers are judged on their own merits and not compared to other groups or
individuals. That is, more than one group may be awarded a Gold or Silver award,
for example.

Triple
Threat
Triple
Threat Dance Convention is
a two day convention which includes workshops in Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Stylized
Jazz, Street/Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Career Development. Scholarships are
given out in three different age groups and we have been fortunate enough to
have our students’ win these. Instructors are top notch and have
worked with such notables as Janet & Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake,
Brittany Spears, Pink, Madonna, Christina Aguilera and Celine Dion and many
others. They have also appeared in movies such as Austin Powers 3 and American
Beauty, to name a few.
Triple
Threat Dance Convention is held in Winnipeg in late fall. This convention holds
a Showcase on the Saturday night and awards are presented to top
performers.

Performance
Hair & Makeup
Hair & Makeup is a workshop for those who need to learn how to make a bun
that won't fall out, or put on stage makeup that doesn't look like you're ready
for Halloween! RSDA offers a workshop that will teach you tricks of the
trade for secure hair buns and applying stage makeup.

Summer Dance Camp
RSDA holds summer programs for students ages
3-13. These programs include classes in a
variety of dance forms,
as well as other activities. Our summer program is held each August.
